Juliet Butler is a legal representative for Exxon Resources, a subsidiary of ExxonMobil. She has been with the company for over 20 years and has a wealth of experience in environmental law. She is currently the lead attorney on a number of high-profile cases involving Exxon's environmental record. Butler is a graduate of Harvard Law School and has a reputation as a tough and aggressive litigator. She is not afraid to take on big cases and has a track record of success. In one recent case, she successfully defended Exxon against a lawsuit alleging that the company had polluted a local water supply. Butler is also a strong advocate for environmental protection. Here are some of the notable cases that Juliet Butler has worked on: Exxon Valdez Oil Spill: Butler was one of the lead attorneys representing Exxon in the aftermath of the Exxon Valdez oil spill in 1989. The spill, which occurred in Alaska, caused widespread environmental damage and economic losses. Butler helped to negotiate a settlement with the government and the victims of the spill. Climate Change Litigation: Butler has been involved in a number of cases alleging that ExxonMobil and other oil companies have misled the public about the risks of climate change. These cases have been brought by both state and federal governments, as well as by environmental groups. Fracking Litigation: Butler has also been involved in cases challenging the use of hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, to extract natural gas.
